Description
Warm gold stitching worked over black velvet, design 220 sits in the middle of the 200 range for density: more than an outline, less than a full cover. The thread has enough body to lift off the nap, and the pattern is symmetrical, so it reads the same whichever way the bag is set down on a bench.
Sizes are 10.5 by 10 inches for the bar mitzvah bag, 14 by 14 for the large talis bag and 16 by 16 for the extra large. The bar mitzvah size is the one for tefillin on their own. A man buying a talis bag should think about what goes in beside the tallis: at 14 inches it is the tallis and not much else, at 16 inches there is room for a tefillin bag too.
The same 220 design is made in candle lighting pieces and in lucite, so the pattern can turn up on the Shabbos table as well as in shul.
