Description
The canopy and poles on design #188 are built in heavy 3D embroidery — substantially more built up than the lighter versions of the same motif. The thread is layered until the canopy stands well clear of the white velvet, and at that weight the design casts real shadow across the face of the bag rather than simply catching light.
It is cut as a large talis bag at 14" x 14". White velvet at this size is a Shabbos and Yom Tov bag, carrying a tallis on its own, and 14x14 gives a folded tallis room without the bag looking oversized under the arm.
The same design number is made as a siddur cover. A white 3D siddur cover alongside the matching bag is a natural pairing for a chosson, who will be carrying both to shul on the Shabbos before his chasunah and for years afterwards. Ordering the two together is far simpler than trying to match the embroidery later.
