Description
Sterling silver ornaments are set onto white velvet here alongside a raised embroidered crown, design #173. Actual metal on the face of a bag behaves differently from silver thread — it holds a hard shine, it has weight, and it stays bright where metallic embroidery eventually dulls. Combined with the 3D crown, this is one of the more substantial white bags Malchut makes.
It is produced in the large 14" x 14" talis bag size. A white bag of this kind is kept for Shabbos, Yom Tov and the Yomim Noraim, holding a tallis on its own, and 14x14 is the size that accommodates a folded tallis without slack.
The same design is made as a siddur cover and as a zemiros booklet cover.
