Swirl Quilted Inset White Crushed Velvet Tallis & Tefillin Bag #455

The white version of the swirl quilted design, #455, sets the same curved quilted inset into white crushed velvet. White changes the effect considerably: on black the swirl is a shadow you catch at an angle, while on white the whole pattern is visible straight on, and the bag reads as much lighter and more formal.

It is made in four sizes — the 8.5" x 9.5" tefillin bag without stones, the 10" x 10.5" bar mitzvah size, the 14" x 14" large talis bag and the 16" x 16" extra large. A white bag usually carries no tefillin, since it is kept for Shabbos and Yom Tov, so the 14x14 is generally more than enough room for a tallis and a gartel.

This is the bag for Shabbos, the Yomim Noraim and Yom Tov davening, kept separately from the weekday one. Men who keep two bags tend to buy the white one second, once the weekday bag has proved itself.
