Description
No crown, no corner motifs, no centre medallion — #448 is quilted velvet and nothing else. The whole face is worked in a single all-over quilted pattern, and the design lives entirely in the texture and the way light travels along the stitch lines. It is the most understated bag in this part of the range and it is chosen deliberately by men who do not want embroidery.
Four sizes are offered: the 8.5" x 9.5" tefillin bag without stones, the 10" x 10.5" bar mitzvah bag, the 14" x 14" large talis bag, and the 16" x 16" extra large. The two smaller sizes carry tefillin alone; the 14x14 covers most men with tallis and tefillin, and the 16x16 handles a heavier tallis.
The quilting also gives the bag some padding, which is worth having if the bag travels in a briefcase or gets set down hard on a shtender every morning.
