Description
Design 241 is the companion to 240 and reworks the same gold-on-black idea with a tighter border pulled in around the embroidery. The frame contains the motif rather than letting it run, and the result is a slightly more formal face — a little more finished, a little less free.
Sizes run 10.5 by 10 inches for bar mitzvah, 14 by 14 for a large talis bag, and 16 by 16 extra large. If you are buying for a bochur who will be carrying tefillin to yeshiva every day, the smallest size is the one; the tighter border also means fewer loose edges of thread to snag in a knapsack. For a tallis, the 16-inch is the size that will not need replacing when the tallis is upgraded.
There is a siddur cover in the same 241 design, which pairs naturally with the bag for a chosson.
