Description
A heavy gold embroidered crest sits on the black velvet face of design 260. The crest is the whole design: substantial, centred, worked in thick thread with clear outlines, and left to stand on open velvet rather than being surrounded by filler. It has the weight of an older, more formal style of bag.
Sizes are 10.5 by 10 inches for bar mitzvah, 14 by 14 for a large talis bag and 16 by 16 for the extra large. The 16-inch is roomy enough to carry a full-size tallis and a tefillin bag together, which is how a lot of men prefer to travel on Shabbos rather than juggling two. The bar mitzvah size holds one pair of tefillin properly, with the boxes protected.
There is a siddur cover in design 260 if you want the crest repeated on what he opens rather than only on what he carries.
