Design 332 sits directly beside 331 in the same series and spreads its gold embroidery wider across the black velvet instead of gathering it into a central medallion. More of the face carries thread, the borders reach closer to the seams, and the overall effect is fuller without becoming crowded.
Three sizes are offered: the 10.5 by 10 inch bar mitzvah bag, the 14 by 14 large talis bag and the 16 by 16 extra large. If you are choosing between 331 and 332, the question is how much gold you want on the bag — the layouts are related and the finish is the same. For tefillin alone, take the bar mitzvah size in either.
The wider embroidery makes 332 the better of the two at 16 inches, since there is more face to fill at that size.
