The gold companion to 750. Design 753 puts the same broad, symmetrical embroidered face on black velvet in warm gold thread, and the change of metal is the only difference — the layout, the balance and the coverage are identical.
Three sizes are made: 10.5 by 10 inches in the bar mitzvah cut, 14 by 14 as a large talis bag and 16 by 16 extra large. Gold on black is the traditional pairing and it is what most buyers reach for without thinking, so if you are choosing a bag for someone whose preferences you do not know, this is the safer of the two. The 16-inch holds a heavy tallis and a tefillin bag together.
Seen side by side with 750, the gold version reads warmer and slightly heavier, though not a stitch more is worked into it.
