Gold embroidery on black velvet in Malchut design 890. The pattern has a settled, symmetrical build to it, the sort that looks correct whichever way the bag is set down, and the gold thread is worked with enough body that it stands slightly proud of the velvet.
It is ordered as a bar mitzvah 10.5 by 10 or as a 14 by 14 or 16 by 16 talis bag. The bar mitzvah size is the right proportion for a boy and for the smaller tallis he starts with. The 14 by 14 is the adult standard and holds a folded wool tallis together with tefillin. The 16 by 16 is for a large tallis, and for anyone who would rather not pack carefully every morning.
