Description
Design 890 shown in silver embroidery rather than gold, on the same black velvet. The layout does not change but the temperature does: silver keeps the symmetry of the pattern legible while taking the warmth out of it, and the bag ends up looking cooler and slightly more modern than its gold counterpart.
Sizes offered are 10.5 by 10, 14 by 14 and 16 by 16. A bochur takes the first, a man with a standard wool tallis takes the second, and the third is there for a large tallis or a fuller carry. If two of these are being bought within a family, taking the same design in two sizes is the neat way to do it.
Silver also holds its appearance without polish or care, unlike the metal fittings some men add to a tallis. The bag looks the same in year ten as it did in year one, provided the velvet is kept out of the sun.
