Gold embroidery patterns the black velvet of design 920, one of the numbers Malchut has carried across more of its range than almost any other. The pattern is broad and even, filling the face of the bag with a look that is traditional without being fussy about it.
The bag is ordered in 10.5 by 10, 14 by 14 or 16 by 16 depending on the tallis. A bochur with a smaller tallis and a new pair of tefillin takes the first; a man with a standard wool tallis takes the second; and the third is for a large tallis or a heavier daily carry.
What makes 920 worth singling out is how far the design travels. It is made as a challah cover, a challah board, a matzah cover and a haggadah cover, so a household can run one pattern from the Shabbos table through the seder and into the bag carried to shul.
