Description
Malchut embroiders gold across black velvet in design 925. The thread work is dense in the middle and eases toward the edges, so the bag has a clear front without the pattern running into the seams. It looks like what it is, a serious piece meant for daily use rather than for display.
Bar mitzvah, large and extra large sizes are made, which is 10.5 by 10, 14 by 14 and 16 by 16 respectively. The smallest is for a boy. The middle size is the standard for a man with a full wool tallis and is the size to choose when in doubt. The largest is for a big tallis, or for the man who does not want to fold anything twice.
Gold on black remains the most requested combination in this whole category, particularly for bar mitzvah and for a chosson, and 925 is a solid, unfussy example of it.
