Description
Silver embroidery brightens the black velvet of design 960. The thread is worked with a clean line and enough coverage to hold the eye, and against black the silver keeps its edge instead of dulling down, which is what separates the better silver work from the rest.
Made in bar mitzvah 10.5 by 10, 14 by 14 and 16 by 16 talis sizes. The smallest is scaled for a boy carrying tefillin and a smaller tallis. The 14 by 14 is the adult standard. The 16 by 16 is for a large wool tallis, and it is also the size to buy if the bag will eventually be handed on to someone taller than the first owner.
The 960 design is made as a matzah cover and a haggadah cover as well, so the same pattern can be at the seder table in Nisan and on the way to shul the rest of the year.
