Malchut design 970 is gold embroidery on black velvet, and it closes out this stretch of the catalogue with a pattern that is full but never noisy. The gold sits proud of the nap, the velvet stays deep behind it, and the bag looks finished from every angle rather than only from the front.
It is sized 10.5 by 10 for bar mitzvah and 14 by 14 or 16 by 16 for a talis. A bochur is well served by the smallest for the first years. A man with a standard wool tallis needs the 14 by 14 to fit the tallis and tefillin together comfortably. The 16 by 16 is the size for a large tallis or a heavier load through Yom Tov.
