Description
The Book of Middoth by Rabbeinu Yechiel b'R. Yekuthiel, one of the Rishonim, serves the same purpose today as it did at its writing over seven hundred years ago. In the words of its sainted author: "My sole object in writing this book was to benefit the students and the youths, to teach them fear of Heaven and Derech Eretz."
- Highly acclaimed by the Geonim of Yisrael, The Book of Middoth has come to be the classic compendium of the words of Chazal on the middoth, the "measure" of a Jew's existence.
- This new English translation of The Book of Middoth is by Rabbi Shraga Silverstein, noted for his faithful translations of The Path of the Just (Mesillath Yesharim) by R. Moshe. Chayyim Luzzatto, The Gates of Repentance (Sha'arei Teshuvah) by Rabbeinu Yonah, and many other classic works in the Torah and Mussar literature, including Maimonides' Book of Mitzvoth, recently published by Moznaim.
