Tallis & Tefillin Bag in Black Leather with White or Mixed Fur #1215

Black leather with a band of fur set into it, in two weights of contrast. The white fur version is the sharper of the two, with the pale band cutting hard against the black hide. The mixed fur version is more mottled and reads as softer from a distance, which some men prefer for a bag they carry every day rather than only on Shabbos. The leather is the same on both, and the embroidery is worked around the fur rather than over it.

Bar mitzvah size is 10.5" x 10", large talis is 14" x 14", extra large is 16" x 16". A bochur will manage fine with the smallest for years; a man with a full woolen tallis should be looking at one of the two larger cuts. If you are buying for someone else and cannot check his tallis, the 14" x 14" is the safer default.
