Description
Two-tone in the simplest possible way: black leather stitched in grey thread, or grey leather stitched in black. The design relies entirely on the contrast between the hide and the thread, with no trim, no fur and no second material anywhere. It is a sharp, quiet bag, and it is one of the more moderately priced numbers in Malchut's line precisely because the effect comes from restraint rather than from added materials.
The three cuts are 10.5" x 10" bar mitzvah, 14" x 14" large talis, and 16" x 16" extra large. The smallest is scaled around tefillin and a light tallis for a bochur. The 14" x 14" is the size most men buy. The 16" x 16" is for a full woolen tallis or for a man who also carries a siddur and does not want everything packed tight.
This is a good bag for someone who finds most Judaica too decorated. It looks considered rather than plain, and neither version dates, which is more than can be said for a lot of what gets bought at a bar mitzvah.
