Description
A full embroidered motif covers the face of 1358, worked across the material rather than confined to a panel. Malchut places it in their middle tier, and for the amount of stitching involved that is fair value. The face is stiff enough from the embroidery itself to keep its shape, and the seams and corners are finished to the same standard as the more expensive numbers in the line.
Three cuts serve three different situations. 10.5" x 10" is the bar mitzvah bag, sized for tefillin and a bochur's first tallis. 14" x 14" is the large talis bag and the size most married men own. 16" x 16" is the extra large, for a heavy woolen tallis or for a man who folds loosely rather than tightly.
If the bag is for an older bochur who is about to leave for yeshiva, the 14" x 14" is often the better buy even though the smaller size would do for now. He will grow into it, and the bag will still be in good condition when he does.
