Leather and Fur Tallis & Tefillin Bag, Five Colourways #1395

Leather and fur together, in five combinations. Design #1395 can be had as grey leather with black fur, white leather with tri colour fur, dark grey leather with tri colour fur, black leather with black and white fur, or dark grey leather with brown and black fur. The leather gives the body of the bag its structure; the fur softens the edge and is what people notice first.

All five are made in bar mitzvah size at 10.5" x 10", large talis size at 14" x 14" and extra large at 16" x 16". The bar mitzvah size carries tefillin alone. The 14x14 is the working size for a man with tallis and tefillin. The 16x16 is for a full tallis gadol that you would rather not fold small.

A leather bag behaves differently from velvet: it marks less, wipes clean, and the grain deepens with handling instead of flattening. The fur wants a little more care — keep it dry on the walk to shul and let it recover on its own if it gets wet. The white leather and tri colour fur version in particular gets bought for Shabbos and Yom Tov rather than weekday use.
