Description
An embroidered border runs around design 1458, framing the face and leaving the centre clearer. Border designs wear well because the worked thread sits away from the middle of the panel, where a bag takes most of its rubbing, and the frame keeps the shape of the bag looking square even as it ages. Malchut prices this one moderately, which makes it an easy choice for a bag that is going to be used hard.
It is made as a bar mitzvah bag at 10.5" x 10", a large talis bag at 14" x 14", and an extra large at 16" x 16". The bar mitzvah size is the one bought alongside a first pair of tefillin.
