Description
Design #1526 splits across the middle. Dark grey leather runs the top, black fur fills the bottom, and Swarovski crystals are worked across the face in quantity rather than as a token accent. Against grey leather the stones read sharper than they would against black, and the fur underneath keeps the whole thing from looking thin.
The bag is made in three cuts. Bar mitzvah at 10.5 by 10 inches is the one a bochur takes with his first pair of tefillin. Large talis at 14 by 14 is the standard adult size. Extra large at 16 by 16 gives a full wool tallis room to sit without being folded down hard. The crystal work scales with the panel, so the larger sizes carry more of it.
This is not a quiet bag, and it is not meant to be. It goes to a bar mitzvah bochur who wants something people notice, or to a chosson who is replacing the bag he has carried since he was thirteen.
