Description
Black leather with a two-tone fur trim, offered either as black and white fur or as brown and black fur. The black and white is the higher-contrast version and it is the one people recognise. Brown and black is warmer and less usual, and it softens the black leather it sits against rather than sharpening it.
Design #4009 is made at 10.5 by 10 inches for a bar mitzvah bag, 14 by 14 for the large talis bag, and 16 by 16 for the extra large. Fur takes a proportionally bigger share of the smallest bag, so the trim reads bolder on the bar mitzvah cut than it does on the 16 by 16.
Brown and black fur is the reason to choose this design over the several black-and-white fur bags nearby. It is a small difference on paper and an obvious one in the hand, particularly against the black hide.
