Description
A variation on the 6064 line, design #6064-11 is worked in embroidery rather than fur — the thread carries the design across the front of the bag, and the fur panel that defines the parent design is absent. That makes it the lighter and more understated of the two, and the easier one to carry every day.
The bag is made in bar mitzvah, fourteen inch and sixteen inch sizes. Ten and a half by ten inches suits a boy with tefillin and no full tallis yet. The fourteen inch is the adult standard, holding a folded tallis with both tefillin. The sixteen inch extra large is the one to specify for heavy wool, larger batim, or a bag that also carries a tallis katan.
If someone in the family already has a 6064 bag, ordering this variation gives you a piece that clearly belongs to the same line without being a copy — which is the kind of thing that only works when a maker keeps its designs on file by number.
