Description
The decorative pouch takes the 1030 face and puts it on a soft case. Black, with the ornamentation carried on the front panel rather than around the body, so the design sits where you see it when the pouch is lying on a table. There is no rigid shell — it folds down when the megillah is out of it.
Two sizes: 18 by 6 inches and 15 by 6 inches. The larger takes a standard full-length scroll comfortably; the smaller is for a shorter megillah and is the more sensible one to hand a child, since it is light and there is nothing rigid to knock against a bench. The trade-off against the tube version of 1030 is that fabric will not stop a scroll being squashed in storage.
The same design is made as a tallis and tefillin bag, so the decorative front can be matched across to the bag a man carries every morning.
