Airplane Print Yarmulke / Kippah for Boys

The Airplane Print Kippah is a four-panel navy cotton yarmulke for boys, made in 7 sizes (dome 1 to 5 plus 16 and 18cm flat) at $9.99. The navy ground is covered in flat silhouettes of aircraft in three colours: red and turquoise propeller planes and fighter jets, white helicopters with visible cockpit windows, and small white biplanes. They point in every direction, as if the sky is full of traffic. The rim is a narrow band of the same printed cloth. Sold by Judaica Square, shipping nationwide.

How this compares

Best for

• A boy obsessed with planes, helicopters or airshows
• School and playground wear, where navy hides dirt better than white
• A gift before a first flight or a family trip
• Little brothers from size 1, since the print suits toddlers too

Not the right choice if

• An adult looking for a larger dome size; the numbered sizes stop at 5
• A dressy Shabbos look
• A child who wants a single big airplane; this is a busy all-over print
• Parents wanting a soft pastel; this is a bold red, turquoise and navy mix

Why customers choose it

The dark navy background is what makes this airplane kippah practical: it looks sharp longer than cream or white prints on a boy who spends recess outdoors. The mix of helicopters, jets and old-style propeller planes gives a young aviation fan plenty to point out, and the red and turquoise are bright enough to feel fun without being neon. It runs from toddler size 1 up to an 18cm flat, so it can follow a boy for several years.

Size guide

Sizing is guidance, not a promise — heads vary. When you are between two sizes, the larger one sits better.

Frequently asked questions

What aircraft are on the print?
Propeller planes, fighter-style jets, small biplanes and helicopters, printed as silhouettes in red, turquoise and white on navy.

Is this the same as the Airplanes kippah?
No. The Airplanes design has large vintage airliners and biplanes in brown and rust on a cream ground. This one is navy with brighter, smaller aircraft.

What size fits a five-year-old?
Size 2 usually fits boys around four to five. If he is on the larger side, size 3 gives more room.

Is there a flat version?
Yes, 16cm and 18cm flat cuts are offered alongside dome sizes 1 to 5.

Does navy show stains less than white?
Generally yes. A dark print hides small marks better, though any spill should be dabbed with a damp cloth soon after.
