Description
The Classic Dov Bear Velvet Kippah is a four-panel navy velvet yarmulke for boys with an embroidered teddy bear, offered in 8 sizes at $9.99. The bear, Dov Bear, stands on the front panel in a navy V-neck sweater over a light blue collared shirt with a lilac tie, khaki trousers and brown shoes, with a small navy cap. The embroidery is dense and detailed, down to the stitched cuffs and shoelaces. The crown and rim are both navy, so the bear is the whole focus. Sold by Judaica Square, shipping nationwide.

Best for
- Boys who want a character kippah that still looks smart
- Shabbos and family simchas
- Preppy outfits with navy sweaters or blazers
- Gifts for boys in sizes 1 to 6 and flat 16 or 18 cm
Not the right choice if
- A school requiring a plain kippah
- Adults looking for a plain velvet
- You want black velvet; this crown is navy
- You need a size 20 cm flat
Why customers choose it
Dov Bear gives boys a character they like while the navy velvet keeps the kippah dressy enough for Shabbos. The bear's preppy outfit, sweater and tie, matches the way many boys are dressed for shul. Parents often buy it because it is fun without looking like a cartoon.

Frequently asked questions
Is the Classic Dov Bear kippah black or navy?

What is Dov Bear wearing on this kippah?
A navy V-neck sweater, a light blue collared shirt with a lilac tie, khaki trousers, brown shoes and a small navy cap.
Is the bear printed or embroidered?
Embroidered, with detailed stitching on the sweater, cuffs and shoes.
Which Dov Bear velvet should I pick, navy or green?
The navy is the dressier, year-round choice. The green version has the bear in a field jacket and suits autumn and winter.
