Best for
- A boy who lives for baseball season
- A leather kippah that goes from school to Shabbos
- A birthday or Little League end-of-season gift
- Younger boys who need the 16 cm clip version to stay put
Not the right choice if
- A school that allows only plain black or navy kippot
- Adults who want a quiet design; the bear is the focal point
- Anyone needing size 6; this design stops at size 5
- Parents wanting a washable fabric; leather is wipe-clean only
Why customers choose it
Most sports-bear kippot are cotton or mesh; this one puts the embroidered baseball player on a hunter green leather, which gives it a crisper shape and a more finished look for Shabbos. The deep green works like a team colour behind the pinstripes and yellow trim. It is the version to choose when a boy wants his favourite sport on his head but the kippah still has to look neat at shul.

Frequently asked questions
What exactly is embroidered on this kippah?
A brown bear in a navy B cap and pinstriped grey-and-navy baseball uniform with yellow piping, holding a bat over his shoulder and a ball in his glove.
How is this different from the grey jersey baseball bear?
The bear design is the same. This one is on smooth hunter green leather, which holds a firmer shape; the jersey version is a softer, lighter heather grey knit.
Does it come with clips?
One option, the 16 cm flat cut, is offered with clips. The other sizes are regular numbered or flat cuts.
What is the largest size?
The hunter green leather kippah comes in numbered sizes run 1 to 5 and there are 16 cm and 18 cm flat cuts. Size 5 fits most teens; there is no size 6 in this design.
Is green leather suitable for Shabbos?
For boys, a deep green leather with an embroidered design is widely worn on Shabbos. If your school requires a plain dark kippah, save it for home and camp.
