Description
The Fire Escape Kippah is a four-panel teal-blue cotton yarmulke for boys with a large-scale firefighting print, offered in 5 sizes (1 to 5) for $9.99. Unlike busy mini prints, the motifs here are big and bold: bright red fire hydrants, red firefighter helmets with a yellow FIRE badge, white ladders crossing the panels, light blue coiled hoses and a red fire engine with its ladder raised. The rim carries the same print, and the navy lining inside is marked with the size and the name Fire Escape. Sold by Judaica Square, shipping from Lakewood, NJ.

Best for
- A toddler or preschooler who loves firefighters
- An upsherin or first-kippah gift, from size 1
- A fire-station trip, a firefighter costume or Purim
- Boys who like big, clear pictures rather than tiny repeats
Not the right choice if
- A teen or man wanting a flat cut; sizes stop at dome 5
- A dressy Shabbos outfit
- Schools that require a plain dark kippah
- A boy who only wants trucks; the print is mostly hydrants, helmets and ladders
Why customers choose it
Small children read big shapes most easily, and this print is built around them: a hydrant, a helmet, a ladder and a hose are each large enough to point at and name. The teal ground is brighter than navy but not as loud as red, so the red gear stands out cleanly. It is a younger boys' kippah at heart, running from size 1 for toddlers to size 5, and the name printed inside helps when siblings share a drawer.
Size guide
| Size | Typical fit |
|---|---|
| 1 | Toddler, roughly 2–3 years |
| 2 | Young child, roughly 4–5 years |
| 3 | Child, roughly 6–7 years |
| 4 | Older child, roughly 8–10 years |
| 5 | Teen and most adult men — the most-ordered size |
Sizing is guidance, not a promise — heads vary. When you are between two sizes, the larger one sits better.
Frequently asked questions
What is on the Fire Escape print?
Red fire hydrants, red firefighter helmets with a yellow FIRE shield, white ladders, light blue coiled hoses and a red fire engine with a ladder.
How is it different from the Fire Rescue Kippah?
Fire Rescue repeats small red fire engines on a cream background. Fire Escape uses larger, mixed firefighting gear on teal, so it looks bolder.
What age does size 1 fit?
Size 1 fits roughly age 2 to 3. Size 3 fits about 6 to 7, and size 5 fits most teens.
Does the Fire Escape print show a fire engine?
Yes. Along with the hydrants, helmets and ladders there is a red fire engine with its ladder raised, clearest from above.
Is it a good Purim kippah?
Yes. It pairs naturally with a firefighter costume and is still wearable to school afterwards.
