Description
The Scattered ABC Cotton Kippah is a cream cotton yarmulke for young boys, offered in 7 sizes at $9.99. The crown is covered in loose, hand-drawn capital letters A, B and C that look as if they were sketched with crayons: orange Bs, yellow Cs and green As tumble in every direction across all four panels. The background is a warm off-white rather than bright white, and the edge is a narrow band of the same printed cotton. Sold by Judaica Square, shipping from Lakewood, NJ.

How this compares
| Kippah | Material | Season / weight | Formality | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Scattered ABC (cream) (this one) | Cream printed cotton | Year-round, light | Casual, kids | Preschool and kindergarten boys learning letters |
| ABC Sketched Cotton Kippah / Yarmulke | Printed cotton | Year-round, light | Casual, kids | Another sketched-letter ABC print for comparison |
| Boys Aleph Beis Kippah – Blue Large Letter Yarmulke | Blue printed cotton | Year-round, light | Casual, kids | Hebrew letters instead of English, on a blue ground |
Best for
- A first kippah for a toddler or preschooler
- The first day of school or kindergarten
- Upsherin gift sets alongside alef-beis books
- Parents who want a light, cheerful colour rather than navy
Not the right choice if
- Anyone who wants Hebrew letters; these are English A, B and C only
- A size 6 head; this design stops at size 5 and 18cm flat
- Messy play days, since the cream background shows dirt
- A teen who will find it too young
Why customers choose it
The letters are drawn loosely, like a child's crayon work, which is exactly what makes this print appeal to three- and four-year-olds just starting to recognise letters. Using only three letters in three colours keeps the pattern calm rather than chaotic, and the cream base is softer than stark white. It is sized with the young end in mind, running from size 1 through 5 plus two flat cuts.
Size guide
| Size | Typical fit |
|---|---|
| 1 | Toddler, roughly 2–3 years |
| 2 | Young child, roughly 4–5 years |
| 3 | Child, roughly 6–7 years |
| 4 | Older child, roughly 8–10 years |
| 5 | Teen and most adult men — the most-ordered size |
| 16cm Flat | Flat style, 16 cm across — typically child |
| 18cm Flat | Flat style, 18 cm across — typically teen to adult |
Sizing is guidance, not a promise — heads vary. When you are between two sizes, the larger one sits better.
Frequently asked questions
Which letters are on the Scattered ABC kippah?
Only English capitals A, B and C, repeated in green, orange and yellow crayon-style strokes.
Is this a Hebrew alef-beis kippah?
No. For Hebrew letters, look at the Boys Aleph Beis Kippah with large blue letters instead.
What age is it made for?
It is designed for young children; sizes 1 to 3 fit roughly ages 2 to 7, and the range goes up to size 5 and an 18cm flat.
Will the cream colour stay clean?
Cream shows marks more than dark prints. Blot spills quickly with a damp cloth and let it air dry.
Can I add my son's name to it?
Yes. Names can be embroidered with no minimum; plan on 10 to 14 days plus shipping.
Want it embroidered? No minimum order — WhatsApp 732-444-3111 or email, and we'll set it up.
