A Novel

Gili’s shoulders are a complex matter; the whole world rests on them.

She has a shiny AI pillow that listens to her with great empathy. The pillow is a secret, of course. That’s what happens when you’re testing a rival company’s product.

Gili’s sister-in-law, Leah’le, also occupies a dif-ficult place. Gili welcomed her into her private domain with plenty of goodwill. Leah’le, it seems, has a little less of that commodity.

Amidst all this mess, Gili has to keep on help-ing her parents and siblings, to compensate for her own life being so good. She’s overwhelmed sometimes, searching for oxygen. Does anyone have a bit to spare?

And then there is Naomi. She came from afar. All she wants is to protect Hillel — to make sure she doesn’t lose him.

While private battles consume everyone, no one notices the thick, dangerous cables tighten-ing around them. Soon, it may be too late.

A drama for those who dare to explore our most vulnerable spots — our thirst for friendship, our innate desire to pave our own path, and our need to protect ourselves from what could take everything away.

New from Tamar Mor, author of No One’s Child, Longing and Belonging, and Formerly My Sister.
