Description
A travel tallis bag serves a different purpose from the bag you carry to shul each morning. Design #1056 from Malchut Judaica is built for the tallis that leaves the house — going to a chasunah out of town, spending Shabbos with family, or being packed for a week away — where the concern is protecting the tallis inside a suitcase rather than displaying it on a bench.
The practical problem it solves is creasing. A tallis packed loose in a case comes out folded in the wrong places, and pressing a wool tallis is not something you want to be doing an hour before a chasunah. A dedicated travel bag keeps the folds where they belong and keeps the tallis clear of shoes, seforim and everything else in the case.
