Description
Polyester mesh, netted and full of holes, cut as a full adult beged with a wide round neck and one hole at each corner. The point is air. In July a cotton beged under a white shirt is one more layer holding heat; the mesh is barely there, and men who switch to it for the summer tend not to switch back until Cheshvan. Keshiras Ashkenaz, with meyuchad strings included.
Sizes 18 through 28. The wide round neck matters more on mesh than on cotton: it sits low and open so nothing shows above a collar and nothing bunches at the shoulder. It is machine washable, which it needs to be, because this is the beged that gets worn through a hot day, through a camp shift, or under a jersey during a game.
Buy it as the second beged rather than the only one — cotton or wool for Shabbos and the cold months, mesh from Pesach through Sukkos. Men working outdoors in the summer are the ones who end up owning three of these.
