Description
As the Babylonian Exile ended, Hashem sent two leaders to bring the Jews home: Ezra, the Torah sage who led the returnees back to their Land and their Torah, and Nechemiah, who fought for the dignity of Jerusalem and the Temple.
For close to two years, in a weekly class, Rav Shimon Schwab zt"l, Rav of K'hal Adas Yeshurun, turned to Sefer Ezra and Nechemiah, placing the story in historical context and drawing out its ethical teachings. His eldest son, Rabbi Moshe Schwab, adapted these lectures into a verse by verse commentary.
