When my family immigrated to the US, fleeing concentration camps and pograms, the statue of liberty was one of the first things they saw when they arrived to Ellis Island. We have a long way to go for us to achieve freedom- because we are not free while others are oppressed. Let Lady Liberty join your Hanukkah this year and remind us all that we must continue to fight for everyone's freedom.
