Description
Antique blue leather worked on the #1567 frame, holding the Oiz VeHudar machzorim. Blue on a men's set is a deliberate departure — the shul bench is mostly black and brown, and this one is recognizable at a glance from the back of the beis medrash without ever being loud about it. The antique finish leaves the color varied across the panel rather than uniform, which is what keeps it from looking like dyed stock.
Oiz VeHudar is the edition men keep for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur davening, and a bound set is bought to last decades of them. The leather takes the constant handling of a full day standing, and the set holds its shape between Yomim Noraim on the shelf.
Because #1567 is carried across the siddur covers, haggadah covers, zemiros booklets and the Chanukah line, this is a design worth committing to. A man who buys the machzorim in blue can put the same leather on his siddur and, in time, on the haggadah he uses at the seder.
