Bat Mitzvah Family Group Torah Pointer (Yad)

Commemorating one of the most important moments in Jewish family life, this copper bronze sculpture sensitively captures the emotional essence of the Bat Mitzvah family experience. Executed in fine detail, this contemporary piece depicts a mother and a father looking on, lovingly, as their daughter reads Torah publicly for the first time.  With her pray shawl visible around her shoulders, the bat mitzvah concentrates on the unfurled Torah resting on the table before her. In her right hand, and slightly above the Torah, she holds a yad which she uses to guide her reading of the Hebrew words in her Torah portion. To the left of the young girl, her father, wearing a kipah and a large prayer shawl, follows his daughters every word.
