Megillah Case, Classical Scroll Black and White Fur #1265

Here the classical scroll tube is finished in two tones of fur, black and white worked together rather than a single colour across the cap. The contrast is what makes it read at a distance — the white throws the black into relief and gives the case a lighter, dressier look than the all-black version of the same 1265 design.

Three lengths are offered, and the smallest is the one worth noting: 17.7 inches for a full megillah, 14 inches for a shorter scroll, and a 7 inch cut for a miniature klaf. Families who own a small travelling megillah usually have trouble finding anything sized for it, and that is exactly what the 7 inch is there for. The personalized snap-on handle comes with the case.

Because 1265 is also produced as a siddur cover and a tallis and tefillin bag, a boy given the megillah case at his bar mitzvah can be given the matching bag later in the same number, and the two will still look like a pair.
