Megillah Case, Classy Scroll Brown Tube #1025BC

Brown gives the classy scroll tube a warmer, less formal look than black, and it is the one to take if the megillah is kept out on a shelf rather than in a cupboard — brown reads as part of a bookcase in a way that black does not. Design 1025BC, hard-bodied, closed at both ends.

Two lengths, 17.7 inches and 14 inches. The larger is standard for a full klaf; the smaller is the practical size for a boy or for a compact scroll. A personalized snap-on handle is included and detaches, which is useful in a shul where the case has to go down on a bench for the whole layning.

The megillah is read twice and then the case goes back to being storage for the rest of the year, and that is where a rigid body earns itself. A tube keeps parchment from being pressed flat under whatever else ends up on the same shelf.
