Description
Malchut's 1500 series opens with this one, and it opens strongly. The panel on 1501 is heavily embroidered, with the thread worked into a substantial body so the face has depth to it rather than sitting flat against the material. It is in the top price tier, where the construction is at its heaviest and the finishing at the corners and seams is tightest.
Three cuts are available. The bar mitzvah bag at 10.5" x 10" is the size given with a first pair of tefillin. The large talis bag at 14" x 14" is what a man with a standard woolen tallis wants. The extra large at 16" x 16" takes a heavy tallis, and it is the one to choose if a siddur goes into the same bag rather than being carried separately.
A bag from this tier is bought for a chosson or a milestone more often than as a replacement. If that is what this is, spend a moment on the size before the design, because it is the one decision that cannot be corrected later.
