Description
Flame Choker
A small tool for ending a flame properly. Lowered over the wick, it starves the flame of air so it dies down instead of being blown sideways — which is what sends wax across the tablecloth and oil down the arms of a menorah.
It matters most where you cannot simply lean in and blow: a menorah with eight lights still going, an oil cup sitting inside a glass shield, a candle standing close to a curtain. Choking the flame also cuts the smoke plume that a blown-out wick leaves behind.
Small enough to live in the drawer beside the matches, and it lasts years longer than the candles it puts out.
