Description
Design #103 in gold is a quieter pattern than the number suggests, and the glass over it does most of the work. The artwork is fixed underneath a clear top, which keeps the gold from dulling with handling and keeps the working surface completely smooth. There is no lacquer to chip and no carving to trap crumbs.
Sixteen inches by eleven gives you room for two full challos with the knife laid alongside, and it is wide enough that the cover sits over the challos without the corners dragging on the tablecloth. This is a board meant for weekly use rather than one kept for Yom Tov only, and the glass is what makes weekly use painless: wipe it, dry it, put it away.
The #103 artwork also appears on Malchut's lucite pieces, so the board can be matched to a lucite bencher holder or serving accessory on the same table without the two fighting each other.
