Description
Malchut design #610 is pressed under a clear glass top on a full-size board. The artwork lives on the underside, so nothing on the serving plane can be scratched by the knife or dulled by handling, and the top reads as a single smooth sheet with the pattern glowing up through it.
The board measures 16 by 11 inches, which is the size that actually works for a Shabbos table: two full challos across it with the knife beside them and enough clear edge that the cover lies flat. It wipes down in seconds — salt, seeds and crumbs lift straight off glass in a way they never do off grain — and it needs no seasoning, oiling or special drying.
The same #610 design is produced as a challah cover and as a matzah cover. The matzah cover is worth planning for now rather than in Nissan: it means the board that sits at the head of the table every Shabbos does not have to be swapped out for something unmatched on seder night.
