Description
Design #992 puts linen-look fabric beneath a glass top on a board built for weekly Shabbos use rather than for display. The weave reads clearly through the clear surface, and nothing about the construction asks to be handled carefully — the fabric is sealed, the glass is the only exposed material, and there is no finish that can wear.
The board is 16 by 11 inches. That takes two full challos with the knife beside them and leaves enough clear border for the cover to sit flat. What you get from glass on a board used every single week is the absence of a routine: no oiling, no drying, no scrubbing salt out of a grain. A damp cloth after the seudah and it is done.
