Hear Your Call, Volume 2 Rabbi Yosy Munk (Hardcover)

Fire up your passion for growth

Hear Your Call, now in its second volume, gathers the weekly divrei Torah Rabbi Yosy Munk delivered every Friday to his talmidim in Beis Medrash Mayan HaTorah in Lakewood. These pieces are brief, clear, and grounded in classic sources and real encounters—written to be shared at the Shabbos table or reviewed in a few minutes during the week.

Shaped through personal conversations with bachurim, each vort carries the voice of real questions and real growth. The tone is practical, never preachy—focused on connection rather than complexity. This sefer bridges the parashah and everyday life, helping readers hear their own call within the words of Torah.

About the author:
Rabbi Yosy Munk grew up, and learned in Yeshiva and Mesivta Torah Temimah. During his beis midrash years, he continued his learning by HaRav Meir Stern, shlita, and developed a close relationship with Rav Mordechai Schwab, zt”l, the Mashgiach of the Passaic yeshiva. He also learned in Yeshivas Bais Hatalmud in Bensonhurst and heard shmuzen from Rav Shlomo Brevda, zt”l. Together with his wife, the daughter of Rav Moshe Possick, shlita, from Torah Umesorah, Rabbi Munk moved to Lakewood, NJ, and he learned in Beth Medrash Govoha for eighteen years. He joined Rabbi Avraham Mordechai Newman, shlita, in Yeshiva Mayan Hatorah, where he serves as a sho’el u’meishiv and has had the opportunity to develop a strong connection with the bachurim and grow together with them. Rabbi Munk has been sharing divrei Torah with the students every Friday for the last twelve years.

Rabbi Munk is a grandson of Rav Eliyahu Munk, zt”l, who was a Rav in Paris and wrote many sefarim, including the classic English commentary on the siddur, World of Prayer, and Kol HaTorah on Chumash. His grandfather was a tremendous inspiration for him.
