The Layman's Guide to the Laws of Mourning Rabbi Avraham Holzer (Hardcover)

A clear concise, comprehensive handbook to hilchos aveilus

The laws of mourning can be a challenge for the average layman. Mourners distracted by grief must sort through and analyze the various scenarios presented in available halachah sefarim, and then figure out how to apply their guidelines to contemporary situations. There are often so many different rulings on a particular subject that it is nearly impossible to achieve clarity and direction.

The Layman’s Guide to the Laws of Mourning unravels the complexity. Fully sourced, it organizes the pertinent halachos and presents them in a systematic, clear, and concise fashion. In addition, all questions were presented to Rav Asher Weiss shlita, author of Minchas Asher, to arrive at definitive rulings that can be accepted and used worldwide.

“The author, my dear talmid, invested great ability and talents to elucidate the unclear sugyos of hilchos aveilus. He consulted with me extensively. The sefer is clear and easy-to-read, clarifying halachah l’maaseh.”

Rav Asher Weiss, Av Beis Din and Rosh Yeshivas Darkei Torah
