Nishmat Avraham VOL.3: Even Haezer / choshen MI Abraham S. Abraham (Hardcover, ArtScroll)

The third volume turns to Even HaEzer and Choshen Mishpat, again read against modern medicine by Dr. Abraham S. Abraham, running 422 pages at 6 by 9 inches.

Dr. Abraham S. Abraham is a world renowned physician who has lectured at medical conferences in many countries. In addition, he is one of the world's leading experts on the halachic ramifications of modern medicine. He was exceptionally close to the great gaon and posek Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Auerbach, zt'l, and is an intimate of Rabbi Yehoshua Neuwirth, author of Shmiras Shabbos K'hilchasah, among others.

In his practice and extensive research, Dr. Abraham has come across virtually every instance where medical practice requires halachic opinion. Hundreds of doctors consult him and, when necessary, he in turn consults premier halachic authorities.

His multi-volume Hebrew Nishmat Avraham is the authorative handbook in this life-and-death field, and it has molded the nexus of Medicine and Halachah for hundreds of observant physicians and thousands of families in Israel and around the world.

With this book, Dr. Abraham expands his "practice" manifold, by adapting his magnum opus into English. One can hardly imagine a family that will not be forced at some point to make life-saving decisions that will require the knowledge and judgment contained in this book. Based on the Shulchan Aruch, this work is a necessity for every rabbi, physician, and library.

Abraham S. Abraham is Emeritus Professor of Medicine, Hebrew University and Hadassah Medical School, and has very recently retired from his position as Director of the Department of Medicine B at the Shaarei Zedek Medical Center, Jerusalem, Israel.

In addition to his many degrees, Dr. Abraham has been awarded the annual prize of the American Heart Association / British Heart Foundation and was elected a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, London, in recognition of his achievements and contributions to medicine.
