Description
Two holes at each corner on treated stain-proof wool, with a round neck and keshiras Ashkenaz. Families that hold by two holes and want a wool beged do not have many options, and fewer still that are treated to shrug off a spill. The corners are made for the two-hole tie and the wool is the full-weight white beged fabric, cut to be worn every day.
Sizes 18 through 28. Thin avodas yad is the ordinary hand-tied string, thick avodas yad the heavier one, and bli is there for a man who buys strings separately or has them tied by someone he knows. The round neck pulls on over the head and stays out of sight under a shirt and tie.
Where this pays for itself is the winter. Wool under a shirt does work a cotton beged cannot, and the stain-proof finish means it stays in the weekday rotation instead of being saved for Shabbos and quietly retired. It is also a sensible bar mitzvah purchase for a bochur going into adult sizes for the first time.
