Custom Fur Siddur & Tehillim Cover with Crown
Pickup at both Lakewood stores
Description
A custom siddur and Tehillim cover in fur with an embroidered crown. The keser is the oldest motif in Judaica embroidery and the one that reads correctly at small scale — a crown worked above a fur panel needs no supporting design around it, which is why it holds up on a piece where a larger scene would simply be lost.
The covers are made to order to match your tallis and tefillin bags, so the crown, the fur and the ground material carry across the whole set. If the bag already has a crown on it, the covers repeat it at the right proportion for a sefer rather than at the same size as on the bag.
A crown is the standard choice for a chosson set, and for good reason: it is a motif with meaning attached rather than a decorative flourish, and it does not go out of style the way a trend-driven pattern will. Families ordering for a bar mitzvah often land on it for the same reason — the bochur will still be using these at forty.
