Description
Design #577 is set under a clear glass top on a full-size board. The artwork sits below the glass, protected from the knife and from years of hands, and the top itself stays a single flat plane — nothing carved, nothing raised, nothing to catch a crumb in.
Sixteen inches wide by eleven deep is the working surface. Two full challos fit across it with the knife beside them, and it is wide enough to carry from the counter already covered. Cleanup after the seudah is a wipe with a damp cloth; unlike wood, glass takes no oil, no salt and no wine into itself, so the board looks the same in five years as it does the week it arrives.
The #577 design runs across several pieces: challah covers, matzah covers and siddur covers are all cut in it. The matzah cover is the one to note, because it means the board that carries the challos most of the year can sit under a matching cover on Pesach night as well, without a mismatched piece appearing on the seder table.
